ARE YOU A BIKER?????...
I saw you hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line. But, you didn't see me, put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday. I saw you, pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk. But, you didn't see me, playing Santa at the local mall I saw you, change your mind about going into the restaurant. But, you didn't see me, Attending a meething to raise more money for the hurricane relief. I saw you, roll up your window and shake your head when I drove by. But, you didn't see me, driving behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window. I saw you, frown at me when I smiled at your children. But, you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless. I saw you, stare at my long hair. But, you didn't see me, and my friend cut ten inches off for Locks of Love. I saw you, roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves. But, you didn't see me, and my brothers donate our old coats and gloves to those that had none. I saw you, look in fright at my tattos. But, you didn't see me, cry as my children were born and have their name written over and over in my heart. I saw you, change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere. But, you didn't see me, going home to be with my family. I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be. But, you didn't see me, when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane. I saw you, yelling at your kids in the car. But, you didn't see me, pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me. I saw you, reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road. But, you didn't see me, squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn. I saw you, race down the road in the rain. But, you didn't see me, get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date. I saw you, run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time. But, you didn't see me, trying to turn right. I saw you, cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in. But, you didn't see me, leave the road. I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass. But, you didn't see me. I wasn't there. I saw you, go home to your family. But, you didn't see me. Because, I died that day you cut me off. I was jusk a biker. A person with friends and a family. But, you didn't see me.

ANOTHER BIKER'S PRAYER
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
May the sun rise in front of you, may the rain fall behind you and the wind follow you.
May the angels of your brothers and sisters who have gone before you guard your travels,
for they know the perils of the road ahead of you.
Keep safe through the rough city streets on your way to the land of the swirling turns and rolling hills.
Let the turning colors of fall keep you warm. Let the eagle guide you to the mountain tops.
Let the Moon's light guide you through the night.
May your tires not fail you, nor your engine grow old.
May your bike draw life from the streams you pass. Keep your seat soft and your mind sharp.
Let the air of spring breathe life into your soul, to journey to another adventure beside your brothers and sisters.
Keep the rubber on the road!

THE NIGHT RIDERS
The moon is rising, fills the earth with light
and soon I'll go to take my final ride....
The darkness calls, and I must be away
To seek redemption, and perhaps to pray
The battering of silence so profound
It leaves me breathless, and my thoughts abound
Of friends I've known, long gone into the night
Who chose the time for them to take the ride?
For all we know will face this lonely ride
Of passage, to a place where all is light
Where anger pain and fear will not endure
And fellow bikers ride along before
So we all go alone into the dark
Where hope and joy and love must be the spark
That keeps us riding onwards all the way
And holds the demons of the dark at bay
To ride is life, the nightime ride is last
Whe all we have is leveled, all is past
And who we were is more than we could be.
So on we ride to where our souls are free....
For those who were, is, and always will be
The heart and souls of the Highway Riders
Rest in peace, dear brothers and sisters
and soon I'll go to take my final ride....
The darkness calls, and I must be away
To seek redemption, and perhaps to pray
The battering of silence so profound
It leaves me breathless, and my thoughts abound

The Fallen
( Clyde from The Syndicate forwarded this Biker prayer to us all):
Dear Lord, as I get ready to get on my bike and prepare to ride,
Just let me feel Your presence with me riding side by side.
Let us feel the wind together blowing across our face,
Don't let me fail to see and smell the nature around me as I ride from
place to place.
Keep me safe from harm and let the other drivers see me as I ride by,
And every once in awhile even though I'm a biker let them say, "Hi".
Keep me alert and always watching for others,
Don't let me ever fail to stop and help out one of my sisters or brothers.
And when my time on earth is up and it's time for me to take that ride in the sky,
Just give me a chance to tell everyone I love them and don't forget me when I die.
Lord, Thank You for letting me be a biker and doing what I loved the best,
For the many kay’s I’ve traveled, before I finally came to rest.
Amen.
